My stay at the hotel had its highs and lows. The location was ideal, with easy access to trains, buses, and shopping, but the noise from other guests in the rooms was quite disruptive. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the dining options had some good aspects but lacked variety for vegetarians and vegans.
The hotel was cozy and clean, but the area was noisy and a tad small for a double room. The lower ground floor location made it inconvenient with only one working elevator, causing some frustration during my stay.
The hotel is nestled at the far end of a quiet corridor, ensuring a peaceful stay away from nightly traffic interruptions. The hotel is extremely close to the town center, making it perfect for accessing shopping areas easily. I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms; despite expecting a shoebox, they were actually fine. However, I struggled with the outside noise and had to limit my use of the air conditioning due to the disturbance. The reception also had a smoky smell from smokers lingering nearby. On the positive side, the service was welcoming and up to a decent standard, with helpful tips on parking. The location was central but didn't offer much charm in Stevenage town. The adjacent mirror and socket in the room were convenient. The dining experience was good overall, with plentiful options suitable for those on the go. The layout of the reception and dining area was a bit bleak, but the proximity to the train station was convenient.
I found the rooms to be clean and spacious at this hotel. However, there were no drawers to put clothes away, and the temperature was a bit cold and couldn't be adjusted. The self-service breakfast lacked variety, especially on Saturday night.
